Bad breath treatment canbe hard to actualize but taking preventive measures will not only save you the stress it will also save you the resources .      Saliva helps to wash food particles from your mouth, thus people with dry mouth are at an increased risk of experiencing bad breath, some medication, mouth breathing and smoking all an contribute to dey mouth. 

    Bad breath can be a by products of certain health conditions, it may result from infection in the nose, throat or lung . 

     Almost all cause of bad breath and taste disorder involves a group of anaerobic sulphur producing bacteria that lives below the surface of the tongue.

   Diet is a common bad breath culprit, food such as garlic and onions, in particular can foul your mouth once your food is digested chemical that causes odor can be absorbed into your blood stream and from their into your lung  this chemical then are exhaled .

     * chewing on fresh mint leaves or parsley leaves is one of the best known remedies for bad breath.

           Preventing bad breath is easier than treating it, by developing the right habits, you can effectively help prevent it. 

    *eat food rich in fibre. High fibre foods help prevent bad breath . Avoid eating heavily processed foods that contain refined carbohydrate such cookies, cakes and ice cream . 

     *keep your mouth moist by drinking lots of water. 

        *clean your mouth after eating fish, meat and dairy products 

   *practicing consistently and thoroughly oral hygiene is an effective preventive tool. 

   * stop smoking,studies have shown that smokers are at a higher risk of developing bad breath . 

    * breath through your nose instead of your mouth. 

     *use quality toothpaste especially those made with mint. 

      * clean your dentures atleast once a day, practice the same proper oral care that you would with your original teeth. 

     * eliminate dairy products from your diet .
